I've been giving my body a bit of a break from anything structured for a couple weeks but I've been itching to get things rolling again with some serious training. Tonight I headed out with my team for some road riding in the hills. I hadn't been on the road bike in so long I had to stop home at lunch and get it ready for the ride. Couple bottle cages back on, swapped the road tube into the saddle bag and prepped a few bottles and some food.
After work I stopped home, changed and hit the road. 70 miles, 5k of vert and another new PR up Lookout Mountain (22:40) later I'm wiped. Tomorrow back on the mountain bikes. Woohoo!
