Here goes nothing

Well I just made a big investment (x2) in my training. Sorry Dave, lots and lots of squiggly lines in my future. I've been reading the Allen/Coggan book and I'm pretty excited to get started. I think it will help me make the most of the hours I have at my disposal which I started to feel unsure about earlier this year. Now to wait for the big brown truck...

Question for you Chris, Ryan and I are contemplating buying a trainer to use (especially for me this winter) instead of getting a gym membership, and risking falling while riding outside. Any suggestions for a type? We're looking to be as cost conscious as possible, but I also don't want to get stuck with something that won't do the job. I just don't know enough about trainers to make any sort of an educated decision.

As a total data junkie, I'm super jealous...Another riding buddy of mine has gone from HR training to Power and he has nothing but good things to say.

Congrats, I can't wait to check it out.

Just as long as you still do fun rides without all that data crap =)

So much Of my work I have to be very on top of the data and and paying super close attention I dont wanna be doing that on my bike!

Embrace the squiggley lines, they are our friends. :)

Did you buy two PTs...two bikes???

The dilemna is that once you get hooked on it you really want to use it for all of your riding which means having multiple setups. Ugh. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts as you use it.

2 powertaps, 1 road and 1 mtb. I will be able to use it on every bike but the pugsley for now. Gulp...

Very cool. Post your mtb setup once you get it. I am anxious to here how it works for you and how reliable the mtb hub/wheel is.

Nice Chris, you're gonna learn a ton about yourself using power.

And to you technophobes out there - there's a lot to the saying "if you can't beat 'em join 'em!"
