Just want some cranks...

Well I just lost another auction for some Race Face Turbine cranks. Yes these old things...
I want square taper, compact and light. Middleburn seem like the only other good option but the Turbines or Next LP are my first choice. Anyone have a set stashed away they want to sell? I'll pay reasonable prices depending on if you have Turbine's or Next's. 175mm, square taper and black, silver or gold please. Ano over powdercoat but beggars can't be choosers. I can use up to 3 sets.

Good luck!

I always keep an eye out on ebay too, but am consistenly amazed by their price. Maybe if we all start talking about how much they suck...

In the end it's just vanity, the Sugino's I've stockpiled are square and compact, with a great low q-factor.

WRIAD sounds like it treated you well. Hinting about snow riding, are we?

Vanity blah. I want 425g 5 bolt cranks :) They do go for crazy prices. I saw some NIB Next LPs go for brand new prices!

WRIAD (or is that WRIAN?) was good. I will be back on the Pugs for sure. Part of the reason I brought the GPS was to create the track. Easier to follow the trail on the GPS in a storm. Otherwise it's pretty straight forward with reasonable bailout options.

"Reasonable bailouts"? You mean hiking out Murphy's? I've dayhiked down from the rim, and it would not be fun to haul a bike.

I'm pretty psyched to see snow right now!

What about Middleburn?

Hiking up any of the "hiker only" trails if you had to. There appears to be more than just Murphy's on the map? Sure it wouldn't be fun hauling a bike but it's an option if needed. If it's really an emergency just ditch the bike.

Snow is already falling on the 14ers here. Just a little here and there but it's coming fast.

Middleburn is an option. I may order a set to try here soon if I can't get any darn Turbines.

Putting the cranks on the carbon steed?

I've hiked most of the trails from the WR to the top of the plateau. Not easy.

How about the old Kooka cranks? They were square taper, low weight, & very low Q, so low wouldn't work on some frames. Still see them on EBAY all the time. I have been using a set off & on for 10years
