Downtime

Another day of mostly resting. I rode the Pugs to work and back a few times, cleaned the house a bit and worked on some overdue bike projects. I felt like riding but my body said to take it easy so I'm listening. There is a busy rest of the week and weekend planned anyway which will be plenty of mileage. The picture was taken 11 months ago, the last time I visited White Rim. Hope our weather continues to hold this weekend...

I finally got the singlespeed maintainence done tonight and a got bunch of parts ordered for the Fuel. I also ordered a new 40t chainring, 16t Endless cog and my intended tires for TransIowa V3. I was going to seal up the Klimax lite on the rear of the SS for some further abuse testing but it was being difficult so I popped a tube in it instead. Hopefully after it stretches back onto the rim a bit it will seal up tubeless again. I finally retired the rear Racing Ralph that kept trying to die. The front one is still going strong with pretty big mileage. Tomorrow I'll be back on the bike, riding at lunch and down to Boulder after work. The gang is going to go to the ACA's "Night of Cycling Greats" tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. It will be the first time most of us have been all together in a while and hopefully it will get the rest of the group excited to start training hard for 2007.

Last but not least, well maybe least in this case, Marni made a little quiz so I decided to make one too. If you feel like wasting a few minutes, check it out here. I'm too dumb to figure out how to view the scores so if you take it post a comment with how you did. Off to bed!

12 out of 20 = 60%. Only 5 percentage points behind your wife. I need to stop reading your blog so much, and ride my bike more :)

Yeah, I got the "what's my favorite bike" question wrong -- DOH! It's like getting your name wrong. Maybe I should start listening when you blather about bikes -- muahahahaha. :)

May see you at the Boulder Theater tonight. I am trying to get things shuffled so I can attend, I'll look for you if I make it.

What tires are you intending for the TI3?

We're going Saturday DaveH, I sent you an email.

Tire for TIv3 are going to be Kenda Klimax lites. I've got one one the rear of the SS right now and ran them a bit last summer. They're pretty tough considering how light they are but they're way narrow for a 1.95. More like a 1.75 really. They do have actual tread though and mine both weigh less than the claimed 345 grams.

Joel hope we see you there. We've got a decent size group going so come over and say Hi. Should be fun.
